Health & Safety

Although licencing is not mandatory in New Zealand, machinery operator training is required by law.

The Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 states the following;

“Employers must ensure employees are either sufficiently experienced to do their work safely or are supervised by an experienced person. In addition, employees must be adequately trained in the safe use of equipment in the place of work; including protective clothing and equipment”.

Boomworks Ltd can arrange for the training of your EWP operators if required.

All operators are required by Health and Safety regulations to wear a harness while in the basket of a EWP. Boomworks can provide harnesses to be used while operating our machines.
