What health and safety equipment does Boomworks supply?

Harnesses are available for use to any customer hiring from boomworks, and are only for use while operating our machines.

How am I charged for hire?

How do I get a machine to my worksite?

Boomworks will arrange for your machine to be delivered to your worksite.
When you have completed your booking arrangements will be made to collect your machine.
NOTE: PICK UP AND DELIVERY INCUR CHARGES OVER AND ABOVE HIRE RATES.

Do I need to wear a harness in these machines?

As per Health and Safety regulations you are required to wear a harness while in the basket of a boomlift. These can be provided for you at no additional charge if required.

Do I need a licence to operate one of your machines?

If you are an employer it is your duty to ensure all your EWP operators are adequately trained.

The Health and Safety in Employment Act states “Employees must be adequately trained in the safe use of equipment in the place of work”. Although licencing is not mandatory in New Zealand, machinery operator training is required by New Zealand law.

If required, Boomworks can arrange for the training of EWP operators.
